A local farm auction has several old farmall
tractors listed,W-9 with ps,W-4,A,M, and a C
farmall with tracks.Never heard of one,was this
thing converted?

Bombardier made the kits for the Cockshutt 20"s. The kits were purchase from Cockshutt dealers though.

Ray,

A C with Arps tracks was sold at a friend's estate sale in 1999. It was ~100 miles from Piqua, OH. I wonder if it's the same one? They can't be very common.

Many of his other tractors were shown in Randy Leffingwell's books, but this one was not.

I have his Oliver 60 standard.

I bet that's the same tractor,it was repainted,
but very straight metal like that one.

Buddy up North here has a Super A, says he has a set of tracks he uses in the winter. I"ll have to ask him for a pic of that one. I don"t think you would have any problem pushing snow with those on.

I used to have a pair of them I used on my H without the idelers used them just like chains. WOW what a pulling son of a HM HM she was with them. I used it for pulling out tree tops in a woods that was loged a lot of muddy Ruts she raired a lot to.

Probably a set of ARPS half tracks, an aftermarket, add on item that was offered for just about all makes of tractors back in the fifties. It would be unusual.

It was a conversion -- maybe the same company that did 8N's, I don't know.
