Has anyone heard of a I-140 Lowboy or Shopmule. We have one and can't ID it. The plate is missing so we have no serial number. Any info would be much appreciated.Red

There were also Shop Mules built by Hebard that had Farmall H engines. They looked more like airport mules than tractors. The A-14 and A-21 Hebard mules based on the Farmall A look like miniature W-4 Standard tractors. Here'a a picture

Never saw a IH 140 Shop Mule. All I know of were based on A or Super A and were built by Hebard Co in Chicago which was later aquired by Buda. If it is based on A, or Super A, you should be able to locate an Engine serial number on the engine block. Then you can ID the year. Also you can ID the year by the casting dates. All the major castings have a code with the date. Send me an E mail (E mail is un hid) and I will send you a picture of my Shop Mule.

Go to the top of this page and type shop mule into the search box.
