I read ahile ago about different set-ups for offset PTO'S. Terms like "Worksaver 3pt", "Triangle shaped hitch with drawbar extensions", and "3pt conversion kits", and "homegrown" conversions. Is there any way to get pictures of what' being described? I am trying to figure out best way to run a bush hog off the Super A, sounds like there are a lot of ways to do it. Also, if I have U-joints on either end of the mower shaft, would I need a "slip-clutch" in addition to those??

Thanks

I usta be a mechanic/machinist. Make sure that the input shaft and output shafts are axially parallel, or it'll chew up the U-joints. Whatever the length of the drive shaft is, it should not exceed (IIRC) a 24 degree angle with the I/O shafts.

There should be a shear pin on the bushog shafting, maybe belts, an/or a slip grip on the blade(s)

I grew up mowing with a 1946 A and a 5' pull type mower. I cant ever remember having any proplems with the offset PTO shaft. Later we had a 140 that we made a 3pt. for. Again, we used a 5' 3pt. mower and never had any problems with the off set drive shafts.
