Looking at one of those English made IH B-275 Diesel tractors.

I have heard they are a good working tractor but parts are hard to get and the parts you can find are over priced.

So give me the real scoop on one of these tractors. Should I spend time looking into it or should I pass it by and find something more common.

THANKS..... ...

long lost bud of mine had one of these. I thought it was a rather stout machine for its size. Good runner, good gearing, somewhat cold blooded starter in cold weather. loose steering may be an issue.

John, I have a B250 w/loader and this is an absolutely great little diesel. It is very economical to operate and it is a powerful little tractor...I was helping a friend draw manure today and I had the B250 on a 130 bushel New Holland spreader, wet conditions, muddy, and the tractor did as much as the larger 584. I have been able to get parts from my local Case-IH dealer, and my local tractor wrecker has several to get parts off of.The B275 is just a little more horsepower They are very economical to operate, I wouldn't hesitate because of a parts concern, British built tractor parts are available from several sources as well as your Case -IH dealer....MIke in Exeter Ontario

I have a B-275 and am having trouble with the left spindle on the steering. It is frozen and I have not been able to get it loose. I wonder if anyone has had that problem and has a cure. I would also like to find replacement parts if I can't get the spindle out.
