Here's an image of a vintage forklift attachment for the 300U.Amazing...seems the 300U could do almost anything....except steer easily.

Harlo Co. made mast and conversions for many a tractor, we sold several 3850 loaders with the loader removed and Harlo had a mast that would mount on it. Made one hellva 4 wheel drive unit.
Had choice of 21 or 28 foot lift. Sold one contractor 6 units.

Thats a very good question.Bet they never sold many in the first place.
Why someone would buy a tractor and then get the forklift attachment for it,instead of getting a forklift machine in the first place is a very good question.
If they could have had a loader attachment on the front at the same time as the forklift on the rear.....that would have been very unique...
rigging the steering/seat/pedals for both functions would be an engineering feat in of itself.

Paul,
Ever try to drive a "real" forktruck over ground that looks like that? I'll bet they sold a lot. Use to use one on a regular basis in a chemical plant.
