Farmall C pushrod dilemma

So I rebuilt a Farmall C by reusing good parts out of a Super C engine. The only problem I have run into is that the pushrods sit too high, and there is not enough room to adjust the valves once the rocker arm assembly is fastened down... If I'm not mistaken, all the parts should be the same except the piston size??? Is it likely that the lobes on the camshaft are different, or the even different tappets? Can I get shorter pushrods? I'm stuck!

did you switch heads or valves? lower compression heads use shorter valves. at least on most tractors they do. I think of this because I have an H here with that exact problem. brand new overhaul but someone put gas valves in a distiate head and now I get to do it over.

The parts manuals for the C and Super C show the same part number for the push rods (47386D). However, the numbers for the rocker arms are all different. You may have to use the rocker arm assembly that came with the C. The parts manuals shows different numbers for the various sets of intake and exhaust rockers.
