There is a push in plug on the bottom directly below the steering shaft. Very little clearance between them, I'm guessing when you turn the wheel to the right it is pushing against the plug. Try a new plug, they look like a frost plug you can press, pry it in without removing the box My 330 and 350 utility are that way.I was removing the steering wheel with a puller on it.Tapped the puller a couple times the wheel came and so did the oil.

That plug could be the problem. But if the worm gear/shaft has pushed it out it sounds like there's another problem. Can't remember how much clearance there is between plug and shaft, not much though. Could the thrust bearings inside steering column be worn causing too much up & down travel in shaft? Turn str. wheel and take notice of the amount of up & down movement- it should be barely noticeable. Let us know what you find!

well I can answer that question right away. Thats the first thing I did notice when I first turned the wheel was the up and down travel, I really don't know what excessive travel is, considering I just bought this power steering and don't know what the norm is. I think for now I'm gonna try a new plug.(and cross my fingers) get up and running and if I knock her out again sounds like I'll be rebuilding a power steering box. Thanks for Input, I'll need more, Wes

I'll take a look at tomorrow. I'm not real sure what you mean do I just press the plug back in?
