I recently bought a 53 Super A. There is a gauge mounted between the two touch control levers that is so rusted I can't see what it says. It is plumbed into the side of the hydraulics, but looks like a temp gauge hook up????? Any help??? Would like to get a new one whatever it is.

They are available from OEM and probably other tractor part suppliers. It is listed in OEM's catalog as part no. 355840R91 with a price of $75.00. Their phone no. is 1-800-283-2122 if you want a replacement.

Zac: The others are right, now if you cut the cable off at sending unit and throw the gauge away, it will not hurt a thing. Did that 25 years ago.

Its not really an oddball. It is Touch Control Temp Indicator for measuring temp in hyd system. I think it may have been an option as I have one on a Super A and one on a Super C but another Super A does not have one. Mine are in the same state as yours! Part Number is 355 840 R91 or 356 465 R91. They are available different places, expensive enough to discourage me!

The early Super A and C did not have a Touch Control temperature gage. It was added some time during production.
