Just looking around for a little 2 row planter that will work on a SA. Was wondering which units you guys use and if its worth trying to fix an old one up or should I look for a later, after market model. Something for beans, corn, etc.

Got the old implement manual for the SA and noticed there sure is alot of parts on those old planters, parts that might be hard to find, not to mention they look like one BIG HAIRY jig saw puzzle.

Also looking for a seedling planter (if there is such a thing) any reccomendations?

For a simple corn and bean planter, the older JD stuff is hard to beat. They made a lot of them, they are cheap, reliable, and you can still get parts for them. 290, 490, 494(5?), 70, 71, etc. I'm sure IH and Allis made something along the same line in the late 40s to the early 70s. A vegetable transplanter was (and still is) made by Holland and Mechanical. There are lots of one and two row units in vegetable growing areas. I think that a tobacco transplanter is similar, but have never seen one. The new style transplanter is called a water wheel and it can go through plastic (don't have one of those either).
