I was switching a bunch of loaded tires around and had to drain two of them. I was also grinding a batch of cattle feed with a new "man" and, well...lost track of things and opened the tube under presure. Well I think you can picture what happened, my shop and I are mighty salty. It helped that I had it winched to the ceiling so it could drian into a barrel. On the plus side, it does empty much faster and you guys get your daily laugh.

I once got my shoes soaked with calcium and they shrunk up til I couldn't wear them. I had to soak them overnight in a bucket of water and then rinse them real good. dried them out again, oiled them good and wore them along time.

I have heard stories of that. My Pake(Dutch for grandpa if your wondering)was getting fluid in one of his tractors tires, either the 8n, 5000, or cockshutt 70, i forget now. But somehow the guy knocked the valve stem of, he got fluid in his mouth, eye's, everywhere! Then the guy who put my tires on, said he's had it lots of times too.

Reading about your Pake. You (or your grandparents) must be from Friesland, right?
Best Regards from Hendrik in The Netherlands (proud owner of Holder B10D and Farmall Super A).

Yep he's from Friesland, And my Oma is from Bunschoten Spakenburg. We went there a few years ago, it was sweet. Can't wait to go back. Next time we come, we want to try and find some antique tractors. Saw lots of New ones. Even saw a Fendt in Rotterdam with a Big Liquid manure tank, right in the city by the euro mast. Now if you try doing that in Toronto, you would probably get put in jail for life! lol

Been there, done that and it sure does make a mess. When I first started working at the implement dealer in town,(Sr in high school) I'd been there a while and the owner came to and me said one of the men had quit and he was going to promote me, boy did I feel good, until He told I was now in charge of the tire department needless to say I changed & repaired many a tire (rears & fronts) over the years!!
