Also, I noticed that on a Reg, to engage the PTO, you push the operating lever forward. To operate the PTO on a F-20, you pull the operating lever back. Wonder why the change?

I have a 1929 Regular also. My oil gauge is on a small bracket mounted on the front of the head. It is hard to see with the oil filter in place. I think in 1929 the oil filter was added, so some will have it and some will not. I also think the PTO lever is the same as the F-20. Feel free to email me if you have any questions ot need photos.

Oil gauge on my Dad's regular screwed into the filter base.
Think the PTO shifter on regular & f-20 were the same. F-30 had the pto shifter coming out the top of tranny on right side, next to gear shifter. Not sure which way it moved to engage.

I thought I had a picture, but I can't locate it. From info I have recently recived, the oil guage fits in a bracket that mounts to the two bolt holes in the head just above the governor. Kevin
