Discovered that the cross shaft that goes in front of the engine was too short. I used one out of a F-30 because my original was worn in the eyelet. I didn"t know they were different. Probably not supposed to be different, but they were. By the way, did some early W-30 throttle linkages go down to the carb instead of the governor?

Thought it had to be sumthin like that. Did you measure both shafts to make sure. It seems that those cross arms can seperate somewhat and not snap fully back. I don't know about the early throttle shaft.
