has anyone had any luck getting something hauled in a pickup if they are going in the right direction for the cost of their fuel and maybe a meal?

thanks Allen and rusty. thats the way I was brought up too. I don't mean to be cheap but on the hauling forum they charge as much as freight haulers. it's a log splitter 88"lx35"wx34"h 650lbs from syracuse ny to anywhere closer to wisconsin

The sad part is that most of the guys that post on the hauling schedule ARE freight haulers, and should be made to pay for placing their ad on it.
Keep trying, surely there is someone out there that will be traveling east on I-80 from New York. I would even bet there are truckers running that stretch of road with empty trailers because they couldn't find a back haul.

Rusty, you're scaring me. Unless they moved something, you can't go east on I-80 from New York. There is a big green sign just before the GW bridge that says I-80 ends. Dontcha just love a smarta$$? Go ahead try and help a guy out and some jerk like Harley with nothing better to do will catch a little fopaw that just don't mean nothing. Later, Me

Sure you can Harley, ya just gotta put some of those really big tires on your rig. Filling those tires with helium might help also. Course it might be even better if a fella was to go west, instead of east.

WW,

I will not go into detail, 'cause I don't wanna embarrass the guys, but I can tell you from my own personal experience, that there are some almost unbelievable favors going on between members of this forum.

These guys are just like the neighbors down on the farm. They help one another.

What do you need hauled and where? Heck, maybe even I can do it for you.

Allan
