I need to rebuild a farmall. The serial numbers say it is a C, my grandfather says it has been upgraded to a super C. How do know which rebuild kit to buy ?

The Super C has disc brakes too. The engine was probably rebuilt and a sleeve kit with 3.125" pistons were installed that boosted the displacement to 123cid.

If you do not have a sleeve puller, you can rent
one or use a piece of hard wood to drive them out. Then you can measure the OD of the sleeve.
If this is the original engine block you need to
tell whom ever you buy the sleeve kit from that your tractor is a C. The Super C's block are bored larger and will accept a 3.250" sleeve and piston. Hal

You can get an over bore kit to increase engine displacement to 123 cu in, which is what a Super C is.
But there is a lot more difference between a C and a Super C than that.

CNKS is right, take the old sleeves out and measure their O.D. to be sure you get the right replacements.

Tear her down first. The pistons should have a part number on them. Cross the old number to a new one, or it may be the same.

You shouldn't order any rebuild kit without measuring first.
