Hi, I have a 37 F12, and need some help. I am wondering if anyone know approx how many were sold with F&H 36" rears, F&H single front? Also, there is a cast piece about 4" tall sitting on top of the hood that has a female threads on top, and 2 fittings, look like fuel fittings on bottom. Is this some kind of priming chamber or something? Also, how rare are the F&H cast weights? This has a set on it, not sure I wnat to keep them unless kinda rare. Is the Heisler OD different than the F20 overdrive? I have an F20 OD and would like to put it on the 12. Thanks for the help and time. Shane

Here is what mine looks like, a 1934 single front, 36" round spokes, Heisler OD. How many made single front, I don't know but I do see quite a few in my area. 36" round spoke, not that many but only paid $125 ea for my replacement wheels ($425 to respoke last I knew). Lots of 40" out there forsale cheap, I don't think anyone wants to pay those prices for the rubber. F+H 161 wheel weights, quite a few, used on many brands, less of the 162's forsale. From what I've seen the f-12 over drive is different from the f-20 ones I've seen forsale. I really like my overdrive, even with the noise it's a big improvement over stock. as far as what is on top of you hood, I don't know. My machine was gas from day one. I'm guessing it might be a part to the small gas tank on a distilate machine. Do you have the lever to work the manifold heat butterfly? Good luck

Hi, nice looking 12! I have been told the casting on the top is a fuel bypass. I have never seen one before. I am not sure if the lever is there, I just got it home yesterday, and have only dug into 1 brake so I could get it rolled into the shop. It was a single family tractor, doesnt have any welds or damage anywhere and seems very complete. Thanks for the help. Shane

I believe the cast piece on the top of the tractor you are referring to was used to prime the fuel system after prolonged periods of idle time. You could do this by either of two ways, take out the screw in the hole at the top and fill with gasoline until it ran over, or you could do the OSHA forbidden method and blow in the gas tank until it was full.
