I have a C and 2 super A's and none of the hydraulic temp gauges work! Am I the only one with this kind of luck? Has anyone used the replacement that I see advertised with any luck? Your comments are welcome....Fred

I got one of those put on my tractor about a year ago and it has never registered anything but cold. That being said, I love having it anyway as I just like "accessories". The one accessory I wouldn't do without is the temp gauge on the engine temp, I use that all the time to see how hot she is running under load, especially when I am pushing her hard. Back to the touch control gauge, I read somewhere that they used to be standard early on but then IH discontinued since they weren't felt to be needed. Cheers Ramon

Fred: I believe the others are right. In 45 years I've yet to see any of these gauges record anything but cold. My Super A had one when new. My 130 and 140 never had a gauge, thus I believe IH discovered the same as most of us, heat rarely becomes a factor with these.

Never have seen any of the original ones work either. I believe the system would have to be pretty hot for the needle to move.
