I want to try and convert a regular farmall M into an MD. I plan to take and change motors. if anybody knows if this will work let me know thanks.

Paul is correct. You will need much more than just the engine. He mentioned side rails and hood. Also steering shaft is longer. If you're gonna do this, easiest to swap the whole front half. However, why not just find and MD and trade off your M. MDs are not that difficult to find.

You can change motors, but you will need more. The side rails of the MD are longer, and so is the hood. You will need not only the motor, but the auxillary fuel tank, switchover linkage, throttle handle, and starter. An engine is just the beginning.
