Was going to trade my 706 for a 560 wheatland .Both owners to keep their own engines.Well it seems the owner of the 560 W now thinks he has a classic tractor and wants to sell it on E-Bay. So I guess its back to loooking! Any body know where a 560 or 660 wheat land tractor is at? That would want a706????

you never said in the other post why you want to get rid of a 706 for a 560 wheatland? if it is your only tractor a 706 is so much better. if you are a collector and have a bunch of tractors then i'm sorry for bothering and wish you happy hunting.

The reason for wanting to trade is I don't like the 706. Dont like the shift prolbem. Don't like its big bulk size, Don't like getting on and off it . Dont like the clutch and TA set up. Dont like the hydrulics set up And sure don't like the hydrulic steering. Bought the tractor because evey body said there a real work horse so far all mines been is a pain in the neck. Wished some one else had it my wife would be real happy if it was gone!

We have a 660 and 806, both are the sane as what your talking about, but the next HP up. A 560 wheatland shifts better than a worn out 06, but with 6 less gears each way, and an 06 with 56 series shifter is a great tractor. The 706 will seam much more nimble than the wheatland, easier to get on and off, a conventional foot cluch, and much easier and effortless steering. The 706 is a much friendlier tractor than the rather crude 560W, but the wheatland do have a great "COOL" factor. We use the 806, and play with the 660 at pulls and shows. A farmall 560 is a handy little chore tractor though. Jake
