I was taking the hood off my H today and while removing the exhaust pipe u-bolt, the whole thing broke off at the exhaust manifold. Could this be fixed or do I have to look for another? I also hooked up a good battery today and the starter just engages and nothing happens. I did put some ATF in the spark plug holes. The tractor has been sitting for about 5yrs. If I were to pull the tractor in gear, will that force the pistons free? Or should I put a wrench on the crank pulley? Also, I made sure the radiator had fluid in it and while topping it off, I noticed a drip under the radiator coming from a little inch diameter threaded pipe. Why?

Do not pull it to try to break it loose. It’s too easy to bend something. :<(

Put it in 5th gear and get on the rear wheel and rock it instead. Put your favorite rust eating concoction in the cylinders and rock it every time you walk by it. (If you put it by the house this should be very often!) :>] If you are lucky it will break loose in a few days. If you loose patience, then start pulling the engine apart.

Remove the remnants of the old threaded pipe from the exhaust manifold; borrow or buy a pipe thread tap of the correct size (2" I think)and re-thread the hole. Purchase a new section of black iron pipe, install it, and you are back in business. Don"t overtighten.

Don't be pulling it, if it is stuck you will more than likely break something. Put a wrench or a crank handle onto the crank, be gentle.

the exhaust manifold will most likely either have to be welded, or replaced. be careful pulling the tractor to break it loose, you run the risk of breaking something, or bending a rod. do a search here under stuck engine, there are about a million different home remedies.the leak at the radiator is most likely the drain tube. if you're lucky, it will reseal just fine. if not, well, you get the idea. remember, this thing is 50 plus years old, so it's going to put up a fight. but remember, it's just a piece of iron. i'm going through the same trouble with the one i just bought my girlfriend. good luck.
