Well, I started in with the tractor stuff on the first date with my girlfriend. Didn't scare her away and we've been dating a year. Now we're talking about marriage and I mentioned my tractors. She explained "division of labor." I take care of the yard and vechicles and my tractors, and she does the household stuff. Even said we'll have to set up a tractor account. Things aren't sounding too bad, but ya think I should put my tractors in a pre-nup? LOL

six thousand can be alot of things to alot of women. hey, I love my farmalls too, but damn, I will to take her side, for that money, you two should have something to enjoy. My wife made me sell the M farmall I restored for a pony. lol. She was right, we have more enjoyment from the pony. :)

Two thoughts for you Spud.

First, when I married my wife I knew she was Miss right, but what I didn't know was that her first name was Always.

Second, I always have the final say in things around here. A lot of that time that involves me saying "Yes Dear".

Seriously though, if you have that much invested in a tractor how much more time and effort will it take to get your tractor up and running? Usually once thay are fixed they will last a life time if they are not used as a main farming tractor. Plus you know what you have. Buy another one and you may have to start all over again.

My two cents.

John

I can have as many as I want too. Anything that keeps me busy and out of her house is great with her.

I never have any problems with my wife because of tractors. I can have as many as I want and it desn't matter if they run or not as long as what needs to be done with them as far as hay etc gets done. I have 20-25 of them right now.

I asked her today how many tractors I'm allowed to have. Answer... she doesn't care HOW &#@^ many, as long as she doesn't have to HEAR about them.

I can live with that!!!

I've had some bad days, but since I dumped the blonde and traded for this redhead all that malarky has seemed to have stopped.

Don't miss it 'neither! :>)

Although,

She did put up a somewhat sensible reaction to my draggin’ home that sweet little hydro-swing this morning. Something about "We don't have any money" or some such nonsense.

I wish she wouldn’t always try to confuse me with facts and logic. :>(

Allan, you and Slo have nailed this one too. Forget the first 30 years and all previous wives, concentrate on the next 30, and the present and last wife, and git-er-done. That's what I've done. Works pretty well. Allan, be careful, them red heads can be pretty darn canny. Up above some feller mentioned about trading a pretty red tractor for a horsey, maybe that's what your missus has in the back of her mind. (Let that old f@rt buy his tractors. When he gets old I'll trade 'em for my horseys and then we'll see who has the last laugh.) Harley
