First, you cannot believe the listed shipping weights. The manufacturers understaded actual weight regularly.

I had an M down to 5000 punds (including me) for pulling purposes. Hydraulic pump was removed. The stock cast wheels were replaced with pressed steel. No PTO. Some fluids removed. Other things too. A stock M probably weighs between 5250 and 5500 pounds.

Hard to get one under 5000, fluids, wheel weights, narrow or wide front, loaded tires, etc will push it to 5500 or more.

yep it is but can be done, i weigh 240 and weighed it at princton pull with no weights and weighed 4623. i could lose about 1oo lbs with changing the drawbar, but i run 5500 and 6500 class anyway. just my 2 cents worth. good luck to all pullers this season.I forgot i got a 52 m.
