I just bought me an IH 464 and its had a rough life. Its down on power to the point it wont pull itself uphill in 3rd gear high range. Besides my Case/IH dealer, any other recommendations as far as parts sources??

Hi Eddie, is the 464 a gas or Diesel? Is engine lacking power or is clutch slipping?

It's a 4 cyl gas down on power, clutches are fine. With considerable blowby from both the crankcase vent tube and the dipstick(when its removed)and what sounds like some good wrist pin rattle. Sheetmetal is above average, and overall its in good cosmetic shape, so I am going to overhaul the thing (in the frame). Any sources for good but not IH costly parts will be greatly appreciated. I am also going to be needing a few misc parts(dash guage cover, fuel guage, etc etc)

Hi Eddie, not familiar with the gas engine only the Diesel D206. The transmission/hydraulics should be same as 454,574,584,674,684.

The gas engine could possibly be made in U.S. as the Diesel engines were made in Germany and the rest of the tractor in the UK.

Good luck
