Does anyone happen to know the narrowest width that can be achieved with a B (not a BN) from outside of rear tire to outside of rear tire. i was planning on hauling one on an 80 inch trailer, but am beginning to wonder if I might have to get a bit creative to do that.
I think a bit of planking will get the job done. I just don't want to drive 250 miles and the find out.

The 64 inch width is center of tread, so you need to add the width of one tire. That gets you to about the number gene b quoted. However, any tire bigger then a 9.5 won't go to the narrowest setting. So if you have 10-24, the best you can do is 68 plus the tire, about another 11. This won't change the axle/hub/weight clearance concern that was already mentioned.

Only problem you mite have is the hub of the B not clearing the fenders. Outside of tires should clear if rims are set in as far as they will go. 9.5x24 tires will measure around 72 outside.

20 minutes after I posted the first message I found a book which tells me the width (tread width) of a B can be varied from 64 to 92 inches.

Those numbers may be for center to center of the rear tires. My B is set about as narrow as it will go and it is about 78 inches from outside of tire to outside of tire.

As gene b stated, the width at the center of the hubs will be wider than the width of the tires. This will only matter if your trailer has sides on it high enough to be at the hub height.

Another thing is wheel weights, if they are mounted, add another 3-4 inches EACH SIDE to the overall width.

I haul mine on a 7' wide X 12' long trailer. There is about 1/2 inch clearance on each side with wheel weights on.
