This sounds like the Marx Brothers. While rebuilding the deisel in the 606, the crank was ground , installed with new bearings, and fired up. Started to hammer, and the question arose," Did you clean the oil galleys in the crank?" Not Me! Anyhow, here I am with some scored "new" bearings and wondering where to go from here. Please jump in with any advice, as I sure need it.

Did you clean & prime the oil pump when you had the engine torn down? This is why so many of us recommend having the block degreased, oil passage's cleaned and air blown. Good time for new cam bearings too.

It looks like you will have to start from scratch.
Take that shaft to your machine shop to see if it needs to be ground again, need to take the block too. I would pressure feed the oil to the engine
prior to startup by teeing into the oil gallery
where your pressure gauge is. You may be able to borrow a pressure vessel from one of your auto shops. When you're using this, you attempt a start when you see oil pressure on your gauge. You still coat all bearing surfaces with oil when
reassembling your engine and cylinders too.Hal
