Hi guys, i was just wondering how rare are farmall MD's?? I was just wondering because I was thinking about buying one that is setting in a fella's yard. I went and checked it out and from what i could see it was missing the gas tank the head, air cleaner and a few other things as well. It did have the factory wide front end on it. The one thing I am worried about is that are the parts hard to find? Any input would be a great help.

You might consider buying it just for the factory wide front end if the price was right.

18253 produced compared to to over 270000 gasoline M's. If it's missing the head, and uncovered, everything in the block must be replaced, perhaps the block itself, in addition to the head. Parts are more expensive than the gas version. Although I would like to have one, I would pass it up. Sounds like a lot of parts have been sold off of it.

I think that every thing would need to be replaced too, espically for all of the things that I have replaced on my 350 farmall, I don't know if i want to go through that again it does still have the hood on it but that does nothing, I guess I will finish my 350 then probably look for something else. Thanks

I have a SMD that runs and looks good at a reasonable price. It has a narrow front though.
An MD in the condition you described isn't worth much. The wide front, the rear tires and rims would be sellable. It sounds like a lot of work and money.

where are you located, and what are you asking for the SMD?
