I am helping a widow (friend) arrange an estate sale and she has a cadet 174 with deck , blade and wheel weights. Can anyone tell me the age (approx) the approx value????. It runs good and the body is solid no rust----it has not been restored but a good canadite to restore if they are worth it in the market place. I would appreciate your input. Thanks in advance

CCJ, just my .02, if that Cub is collectable as PH says, you might want to ebay it. Hundreds of collectors-restorers look there, if it's worth 1000.00, no ones going to "steal" it for a 100.00. You can do pickup only, no shipping, if they want it, they will come.

The 147 is sought after by collectors. Lights, implements such as the deck, blade and wheel weights will all add to the value. I can tell you that the wheel weights alone are worth around $100. The weights also fit the front wheels of the Farmall Cub. Not seeing the tractor, I would say it's worth in the ballpark of $400-700 depending on accessories. The blade is worth between $50 and $150. Condition and location play a big part too.
