After a lot of help in private email from Hugh we got the WFE to NFE problems sorted out. The Schwartz WFE will not work properly with the extended stop bolt int the bolster mount plate. So there are a lot of those proper bolts for a NFE gathering rust somwhere. After a lot of cleaning and high power light looking. I did finally determine that a 54 SMTA does in fact have the proper casting ridges in the front bolster hole for an extended head bolt, in the right front hole, to work as a stop. It allows about 50 degrees of front wheel travel each way. I didn't try to get the bolt fromIH, just welded a 3/4 inch 5/8 bolt on the 3 inch 3/4 inch bolt, cap to cap, and did a little grinding. All set to mount the NFE if I can get it painted. 35 mph winds for 3 days have kept the spray gun hanging from it's hookeye! I'm gonna part out one Schwartz wfe, any one need rods, spindles etc?
