yeah, after 8 weeks or so we are getting a little rain. The eves have been dripping since sometime before daylight and looks like about .70 in the gauge. I know we need it to make the grass grow next year but I am getting cabin fever. Maybe I'll curl up with a good western novel and rest a while. I spent most of the afternoon loading stuff on ebay and their server is running awful slow today. I NEED A BREAK.

Hey Cowman,

Here in Mi. it's starting to get a little cold but haven't had that much rain where I am. When I get cabin fever I take a walk with one of my best friends, my golden retriever. It sure helps and gets my mind off the concerns of life. Hope ya dryout soon.

Take care
Rev.

East Central Minn. got 10 inches in a couple days last week. The country looks like the spring floods now. That put an end to any field work this fall.

I grew up in central Nebraska and as I recall there was a law against anybody ever complaining about too much rain!

You're a lucky man to be able to read a book while it rains...some of us spend our time emptying the drip buckets!☺

Remember what Longfellow had to say about rain?

"Near at hand,
From under the sheltering trees,
The farmer sees
His pastures, and his fields of grain,
As they bend their tops
To the numberless beating drops
Of the incessant rain.
He counts it as no sin
That he sees therein
Only his own thrift and gain."

We got 11.6" in 36 hours from TS Tammy. They're
calling for more rain tonight & tomorrow about another inch or more. Could rain until Friday.
At least we don't have to plow it or scoop it. Hal

You could be getting snow like Denver. I would settle for rain.. We have had 7" in the last 2 weeks and to to my amazement, they are tearing through the beens. The stalks are tuff and green yet and the ears of corn are sprouting in the husk. You could have it worse.

have a good rest..

Now Roy Rogers was all right, but Gene Autry was the man. I have a CD I got at Wally World a while back with 8 Autry's on it. One of them is about a crooked tractor dealer, the name had been change from Farmall to Mamoth, they were selling F12's and F20's.

Nobody has ever or will ever sit a saddle or ride as smooth as Roy Rogers.

You're right, Dellbertt, he was the King of the cowboys. And who can forget Dale Evans, her horse Buttermilk, and Pat Brady with Nelliebell, and--of course--Trigger and Bullet?

Anybody know how I can get a shirt like he used to wear?

I'm in the east half of the state and were dry as of today but I see it's coming. My advice.....Go fishing, but only where you can watch your poles from the truck. Pick up some walleye this time of year.
