Well its that time again here in West Kentucky,Wheat planting time. Had both the 460's in the field making dust the wife was chisel plowing with the wide front, pulling a Grahm 12' and I was mold boarding with the narrow front 460, will use the 240 to pull the drill tomorrow. Sure like seeing the old Farmalls in the field but $3.00 a gallon gas kind of spoils the fun. Any body else sowing wheat with good old red power? Ya'll have a good day in the field!

Yea short bolt I work my ground and put in my wheat with all old tractors and equipment. I use my wife's 53 Super H to pull my drill. I like the Super H because it is light, easy to drive, and easy on gas. Most of my tillage is done with my JD 720 diesel. Dont shoot me down for having a green tractor. My 49 M and 46 W6 also saw some field work this past summer. I sowed my wheat on labor day this year. I fertilized last Saturday with 46-0-0. Wheat looks good but sure could use a drink. I plan to graze this wheat out as I have in years past. Have fun old tractor farming there in Kentucky.

Must be one powerful 460 to be pulling a TWELVE FOOT WIDE chisel plow, or some REALLY mellow ground...

You sure it's not a drag or a harrow?
