Hey Harley -

How much do you suppose that new engine, new front tires and new seat cost a guy? I wonder if he'll recover enough to offset his costs vs. the way it was before.

Tell ya Jay,

If a feller needed a big tractor, I don't think that one is at all out of line at around $7500 to $8K, do you?

That's a lot of nice clean horsepower for the money, if ya ask me

Dunno,

Allan

You're probably right - maybe it's more a regional thing. I don't think you'd get that for it up here. That tractor up here is an auger tractor. Course, there aren't many cattle farmers around here.

Well,

Here too (except fer me). I just think it is pure silly to spend $75K on a new tractor when an ol' sis like this can still handle the job.

I think I'm old fashioned. :>)

I don't understand this farming thing Allan. A lot of these guys are farming the same amount of land as their Dads did, but with 3 times the horsepower. Several 6 and 8 quarter farmers with 3 big 4 wheel drives and several bigger 2 wheelers.

Yes Sir,

I looked at it and if I were lookin' fer another big tractor, that one would sure be a candidate. It is just too big fer my purposes and needs tho.

Thanks anyway Buddy!

Ya I don't know Jay, I sure wish I had a use for one that big down here on the ridge. An M is about all I need to feed hay to the girls. But boy, those old smokers sure get me to drooling. Harley
