With the frame rails, front engine cover, rear engine plate, and flywheel from a 282-powered 706, it'll be a bolt-in deal.

what is the biggest stock ih diesel motor that i can put in my 706. or can i crank up this 282 but keep it somewhat reliable and efficent.i looked @ a cummins repower with a 5.9 but it is going to be pretty costly and i would like to stay with IH motor. i would like to get in that 100 to 150 hp range.please send suggestions.

You mean the parts from a 310 powered 706 or 756. A front cover from a 282 will not fit a kraut engine.
