Started getting oil on the driveway from my B.Wiped everything clean underneath and checked the obvious oil pan but the oil was coming out from the front of the timing gear cover.

The more I looked at it the less I liked whats ahead of me. Went thru the IT manual which gives a pretty good breakdown.

The whole front end needs to come off, my hope is the cover bolts are just loose as no oil seems to come out of thr seal.

Looking for any tips or experience you guys may have had on this problem. In the mean time I made a drip pan using a old dust pan and bolted it to the front casting. Looks like a good project over winter

Remove whole front section and then replace front seal, gasket, gov assy gasket. Make sure the holes in the front section covering the gears have not been tapered in ftom over tightening. You will need a bearing puller to remove the pulley on the crank. These are a pressed fit and have tobe removed correct or you will have a busted one.
