Im interested in locating a remote hydraulic system for my Super C. From what I can see the remote system replaces the existing manifold and tubes. I'm interested in running a hydraulic cylinder for a log splitter and chipper feed. Any thoughts as to where I can find something that will fit would be appreciated. Also, any advice on do's and do nots welcome. my super c is serial 157811.. built in late 52 wide front. located in Maine.

Jim: Another idea you might look at is tractor scrap yards. Any C or SC with loader, fast hitch, etc. would have what you need.

The factory system fits best and looks best, IF you can find one. They are no longer made and there are no aftermarket reproductions, that I know of, anyway. Just as good -- Saginaw County Tractor sells a block that fits under the tubes on the hyd reservoir, along with a spool valve and brackets that mount on the light bar--this is for their 3 point, but of course it will work on any hyd cylinder. Another company(ies) also makes the block, I don't remember the name.

There is a fellow who manufactures the adaptor block and sells them through eBay. I think they usually get bid up to $50-80. If one were to use the "completed item" feature at eBay, the old listings and seller might be found This guy also mfgs the Cub hyd block. You could also go to the Cub site on the net and probably find his name. Sorry, don't know the url for that site. At eBay, search using Farmall Cub Hydraulic block. I should also add that I have eBay send me "alerts" using "Farmall Hydraulic" but the blocks have not been offered for awhile. Several months at least.
