On a farmall 400 tractor that has a replacement
block. The block casting date is 1967 the cast # on block is 365586-R1 and C-248 cast in place C-264 is normaly found.Have saw a few of these blocks before but never apart. My question, can someone tell me if the bore without sleeves is the same as a M or SM to 450? Forgot to mention
that I find the same # block listed as a replacement for SM and 400 in some parts books.

I have a similar block that's a U-6 Powerplant. The # on the block had been ground off and had been re-stamped. The cylinder head on that engine had also been ground off smooth and another number stamped in. Very confusing situation. Maybe one of the more educated people with IHC from back in the day can shed some lite on this subject.
