Does anyone know if the 240 utility can handle the weight of a loader and backhoe? My 3pt backhoe weighs 1000 pounds. The rear axle limit on my Super C is only 1000 pounds so that"s out of the question.
Thanks

My Dad's 240U has a pippen loader and backhoe on it. I don't know what it weighs but from the amount of steel in that thing it's gotta be heavy. It probably is a lot more than IH intended for the tractor to carry. We broke one of the axle housings about ten years ago driving over some rough ground. The 240 isn't the most powerfull thing in the world either, but if you are patient it will get the job done. Ed

No differance as they are about the same , If ya want to put a hoe on something look for a couple sizes larger -340 460 504. Bigger axels and housing.
