Howdy, guys...haven't been around much lately, been trying to get through the holidays and getting ready for our new addition(baby girl) due in April. The old '27 Regular I've been working on for the last year is supposed to be hers, and my 5 yr old tells me I have to have it done before she gets here. Anyway, the throttle lever(one closest to operator) has a cast hole in the arm. I've seen this in pictures of other Reg's and F20's. Anyone know what this is for? Thanks in advance, Kevin

Don't have a clue as to why the hole though. Sorry.

Thanks, Slo...I don't really NEED to know what the hole on the throttle lever is for, just one of those things you really WANT to know!!

Kinda like kilts or the refrigerator light huh?

I'm thinking it may have something to do with remote operation. Some power binders were made to be operated by one man controling the tractor from the binder seat. Just a guess though.

Kilts? My SIL is a bagpiper, and at 6 foot 4, 270 lbs., no one has ever checked. But when asked, he will say that when wearing only the kilt, that is called 'going regimental'.

I saw mention in a parts book about a foot throttle...maybe it had something to do with that?
