Tried out my home manufactured puller using porta power, Had pulley off in less than 5 minutes. And no HEAT!!! Sure worked smooth

Thanks everyone for the info and knowledge, lots of great info and help on this website. Also thanks to the one that posted thier failures, gives the rest of us a head start as to learn what works and what won't...:-) :-)

Hi Keith, I cheated on putting mine back on. Brought the pulley into work and buffed the bore just slightly, and put two set screws in over the woodruff key, brought it home and tapped it on and socked down on the set screws :")

So now how to but it back on. I built a bracket to push them on with a hy jack cause it goes on just as hard as removing.

Gene going to use the same principle to put it back on. I have a stick of 5/8 all thread along with about 16 inhes of the same 2x2 tubing I used on puller. Using one lower bolt hole ,for mounting the bolster, on right side and upper one on left side along with porta power push pulley back on. Like using hydraulics rather than a hammer.....

Thats the way i do them sure beats hammering and stuff breaking. Got two more to do before grass gets green maybe three.
