Can an element-type oil filter be placed in a filter housing upside-down, causing a lack of oil pressure? Also, can new filters cause pressure loss?

Oil filters are pretty much fool proof. If it makes a difference, they will only fit one way (like on A, B, C, H, M) they are larger on the end that goes into the filter base, the cover won’t screw down tight if the element is in upside down. On the 560, it doesn’t matter, the filter is symmetrical.

Filter will only go on the bolt one way, will not effect oil pressure as they are a bypass filter.

No to both questions. If I remember right, they only fit one way.
