Has anyone used the super a rims from Classic Ag? Any pitfalls?

I have just purchased a set of rear rims from an online source. Will let you know how they work when I get them in. Good thought to test fit them before mounting tires.

What rims are you looking for front or rear? I have some and they are original. You cannot find original unless they are front without the loops.

Are you talking about front or rear rims?

alann: I talked with a local supplier of new parts for older tractors. He had just got a new shipment of rims that he said obviously came from a different factory than they had been coming from.

He had sold one set of 28" rims for one of the popular Utility type tractors. The guy he sold them to had to grind about 1/16" off his hubs to mount them. He wished the guy had brought them back for a refund. I was looking that day for a new set of rims for my 130. He had them in stock, but said he wouldn't sell them until he found if they mount right. His argument, if it didn't fit it wasn't a replacment rim.

I suggested it my not be as much fun grinding 1/16" off that cast hub of the 130. The pressed steel hub would grind off quite easily. The point is once you grind a 1/16" off your hub, then a properly engineered rim will never stay tight. He asked me to hold off as he wasn't going sell rims that weren't up to specs. Watch that one guys, his customer didn't notice until he had new tires on the rims.

This is the part that scares me a bit. These are for my son-in-law, and he needs all new. The only local parts we have is Tractor Supply. Probably the same situation. Very few parts places are going to care as much as your service center.

Saw some new aftermarket front rims with welded tabs instead of the original riveted factory lugs which were labeled as "made in Turkey". Don't know anything specific about Classic Ag as haven't heard of them here in south central Missouri. Just wanted to point out the possibility that they might not look original if that is important. Hope this helps, Hal

I would presume that they're no different than most of the other aftermarket brands, since they're all made in the same factory, probably in China.
