Has anyone ever built there own carryall ? They seem to be quite rare. I think it would be handy sometimes instead of a trailer. Im no design engineer but would like to build one. Anybody tried??

I just finished building one for my uncle, although he doesn"t know it yet.

The one I use is based on a cheap one we bought from Tractor Supply or Quality Farm and Fleet. Welded a deck support for it and added a wood deck, then I broke it the first time I used it; since then it has been reinforced and the pin spacing widened so that it will fit on the Fast Hitch of the Super C.

Haul all my firewood from the woodstack to the house with it; great for carrying rocks since I can lower it to the ground.

Good luck,
Bill

I should add that my SC has a 3ph adapter on it; so the carryall will fit the SC and my New Holland compact.

Also, I built a smaller carryall that attaches to a standard 2"x2" hitch receiver. I have a receiver bolted to the drawbar of my A and one welded to the front of my compact tractor. That way I can carry smaller loads on the A; or attach both carryalls to my compact tractor and the front one helps act as ballast.

I got a couple of fast-hitch tool bars at an auction a while back and plan to build a carry-all. I'll try to post some pics if I ever get it built.

i built one for the cub loboy. i took one prong from a tool bar and cut the curved piece loose from the prong, then welded them back together with the curve going down this time, under where the platform would be. i welded angle iron to that for the subframe, and used 3/4" plywood for the floor and headboard. its 4' wide, enough for a couple people to ride along in a parade. (okay, so its not a working platform.) but it could be.

They should have sold a bazillion of them.Ever so useful.....and combined with Fast Hitch, its fast, easy and very powerful.I wouldnt have had a place to put my 55 gallon drum of cement (for a counterweight for the loader) on my UTE without it coming with one.
