It's either "To the victor goes the spoils" or "To the idiot goes the junk" I'm not sure which. Kevin

Couldn't resist the binder. I want to use it in the sorghum next fall. Beats cutting with a machete. Too tired to make syrup after harvest!
2 of the plows(John Deere) belong to the guy that went with me.

Wish I could see it. All I see is a little box with a red X in it. Any ideas?

Yeah, she was warned. I called her on the way back to let her know when she woke up Sunday what she would see and that only 1/2 of it was mine so she wouldn't 'accidentally' shoot me:>

Can't comment on the " spoils " but I sure do like that trailer ! Can you tell me some about it , like who made it and what it's load rating is , how long is it , what's it weigh empty etc , etc ? ...Randy

Randy,
That trailer is a Hooper. We ordered it about seven years ago from Hooper trailer in Monticello, GA. It has two 8000lbs axles and the frame is ten inch I beam. We paid $2850 for it new and all the other trailer places wanted $4000 to $4500 for anything close to it. It has been on many trips from SC to the midwest ( OK,MO,KS) and to TN,PA, not to mention all the local loads it has hauled. When I worked for Clemson University, we started buying from Hooper because we were so pleased with my trailer. I would not deal with anyone else now.

Not my trailer, but the guy it belongs to pops over here to check out how the Red Side lives occasionally so I'm sure when he gets up he'll post all the pertinents about it. I do know it is 16' plus a 4' dovetail, pintle hook, and 1 brand new wheel bearing, race and seal. Don't ask how I know that:>

Either way you look at it, looks like you got some neat stuff there. Looks pretty solid too, not all rusted down to a pile, Harley

Morning Harley. I was pleased with the condition of what we found. Hard to find stuff here on the Right Coast that's not rusted down. We got 2 2=bottom John Deere's, 1 2 bottom IH,the IH corn binder, and a straight 8, flathead, Chrysler power unit(to put on my sawmill). The toll collector looked at us kinda funny going through the tunnel in Baltimore!!
