I have the head off a Regular and have been soaking the cylinders in a mixture of kerosene and brake fluid for 10 days. I need to get this thing loose. Does anyone have a "tried and proven" :-) way to move this along?

I have received all the advice and comments. Going to try it all. But....it seems...that the best advice on the reply is "have patience!" Thanks

Tom, Roll your tractor out side, get the fuel tank and all other flammable materials away from the tractor.
Get rid of the stuff that is in the cylinders. fill diesel and top off with a dash of gas. Set each cylinder on fire one at a time. let it burn itself out. The fire will expand the sleave enough that the piston will drive out. I have not seen it fail. If it doesn't work the first time do it again. Once it moves you own it.
Later,
John A.

I'm not saying this the safe way to do it but.

Had a 77 oliver that we soaked for months could not get it to move. Found the cylinder with valves shut and hooked hydaurlic pressure thru the spark plug hole and it broke loose 15 yrs ago. That engine has never been apart and still runs every day at the weld shop with a fork lift on the back.
Worked for us.

Patience, Never had one that wouldn't come apart in reusable condition when I didn't hurry.

You might want to try a piece of wood post of the proper diameter. A short piece that will stick up far enough to hit with a sledge is adequate. Gives a little "cushion".

If they will come loose with wood, they ain't "stuck" very bad.

I use a piece of inch shaft about a foot long and a 4 pound hammer. I save most of them.

We use a product called "KROIL OIL". We purchase it by the drum. Smells alot like pine oil. Good luck in what ever you choose.

Get as much of that worth less stuff out as you can and then fill the cylinders with tranny fluid. then if the tranny fluid doesn't work top it off with turpentine, not paint thinner but the good old type of turpentine which is getting hard to find by the way. Kero and brake fluid is a joke when it comes to popping and engine free. I have used tranny fluid and turpentine in about 10 engines and have gotten ALL of them free
