I have a narrow front 230 with McCormick loader that I use for everything from lifting logs onto the K-5 truck to heavy F-30 engines. Some earlier post lead me to belive that Ive often over loaded the little 230. Like when the hydralics can barley lift the load. The loader is heavy by it self and I dont want to destroy the 230. Im not a good gudge of weight on iron or timber so could you guys give some pointers please, thanks.

Well since the loaders that were made for the C-230 tractors were made for loading manure or pushing snow spreading sand and gravel and light dirt work now this is just a guess but i would think that somewhere between the 750 lbs to 1500 lbs range and if it will not lift it then two things come into play (1) the hdy's are not up to full pressure (2) that is all that it wants to lift.. Ya got to remember that your not working with a 988 Cat loader here your working with a chore loader on a two plow tractor that has had extencive field testing.
