Well, T. Vet I did use assembly lube to hold my balls but that was only place:>
I did have a revelation last night as was attempting to sleep. Something I didn't mention last night was that after we had it back together, the lever in cab would not snap forward but would go backward. I had my friend apply small amount of forward pressure and I used screw driver through plug on back of hex nut and tapped with small hammer very, very lightly. When I did this the control valve assy. snapped forward and after that it worked. This seemed trivial at the time but thinking back on it, I believe that the valve spool oring and retainer on the forward side of the cap retaining sleeve was not seated into the back side of the control valve casting. I am betting at this point that I nicked or cut the oring when I tapped and it finally seated. I am going to pull out tonight and put new oring in here and this time I will slide the oring and retainer up into back of casting to make sure all is in place prior to pushing shaft through casting. I will also use assy. lube this time as was unsure if that was ok to use this material throughout.
Does this sound agreeable?
