According to the 1935 IHC catalog, the Fairway 12 used the same engine as the F-12, O-12, and W-12. I have never seen reference to a Hercules engine.

Also, the early Fairway 12's were a McCormick Deering Fairway 12, but by 1935 they had changed and IHC was calling them a International Fairway 12. I am not sure what year they changed from being a McCormick Deering to a International.

Glad to see some reference about changing the name from McCormick Deering to International.

We have a 1938 International Fairway 12 - not many 38's; as I understand it the 14 series was started in March of 38. Our Fairway is a 2 tag tractor that appears to have left factory as yellow.

Is the 1935 catalog you refer to a sales catalog?
Would like to hear more about it.

Yes, it is the complete hardback bound catalog. The title page is: McCormick Deering Line, General Catalog No. 35. Also have: 1920 and 1940
catalogs and 1951 complete price list.

They had the Hercules engine, there's man in Ohio that just restored one these tractors. They all had mags with a hand crank. Send me your email and I'll send you pictures of his tractor before and after restoring it. Hal

I was told they used Hercules in these tractors.
Here are the model numbers used and the F12 Farmall used the Waukesha engine without overhead valves. Pre1928 used mod YXA, 1928-32 Y-X-B, 1929-40 OOC and then model IXK. Hal
