Does anyone have a planter for sale or are they still made? I have a good 130 farmall and I can't find a fast hitch planter.

Thanks for the suggestions. I will check out the e-bay lead and I have found a guy in Kansas that cuts down the John Deer 71 (24 row) planters and makes 1 - 4 row. He has an ebay store.

Lee: Nat is right, these are like looking for a needle in a haystack, and if you do find one it will be big bucks.

Now if original doesn't matter and you just want to do some planting, here is what I have done. I have changed two 3 point corn planters, one IH and one Deere to single point fast hitch planters. The guy I bought the Deere from claims it works better on my 130 than it did as a 3 point machine. Two suggestions I'd give you for a single row planter are IH 185 units or Deere 71 units. I have a single point fast hitch tool bar 6 feet long. I am currently looking for three of these units. With that I will be able to plant one row, 2 rows most any width or 3 - 30" rows. These newer units will have much greater variety of seeds that can be handled, and much more accurate. Personally I will give the edge to the Deere 71, mainly because there are more of them around, thus more parts if needed.

Yeah, you'll be darned lucky if you do find one... They're not the most common implement out there, and the ones that do come up for sale in decent workable condition bring big $$.

Lee: A good way to do this is find a planting unit from a large planter. There are scrap yards in most areas building these everyday from striping down large planters. I have done this several times with units or 3 point eq, just add a fast hitch fork.

Few weeks back, a lady near Columbia, SC had a 140 for sale on Ebay that had a planter with it plus some other things. Reserve was not met and I expect it's still for sale. Don't know if she would sell the planter separate or not. You'll have to look in the ended items to find it. Item No. 7584754259
