I have an International B250 that my father had for thirty years. I am in the process of restoring it and am looking for info on its year of manufacture. The serial no is 23199.

Also wondering if anyone knows where I can get a steering wheel and bonnet badges. The steering wheel is qite odd in as much as it has a large (approx) 2 inch spline and is held on with a large chrome nut which screws to the inside of the steering shaft.

Hope someone can help as I am only new to all this.

Thanks David

Your B250 was built in December 1958 and was probably sold in early 1959. The 1958 production was from S/N 16027 to 23467. Your best chances for many of the B250 parts is to find another unit that is being parted out.

Hi Dave I am afraid steering wheels are hard to come by. The upright silencer is a loose fit on the manifold stub pipe. My B250 as a underslung silencer as did all tractor to serial no 930. Will try to get you the serial no list as soon as possable. Just going to load up my B250 and IH B12 2fw plough to go to a ploughing match tomorrow. I am match ploughing most weekends in the Autum, Winter and spring MJ

Thanks MJ for your quick reply. Wher do you get a copy of these serial no. registers? I wouldn't mind getting one. Also any sites, members or others that you could point me in the direction of would be appreciated. Very little info here down under.

My B250 has the steering rod either side as you rightly suggested. Would love to get a remanufatured/copy steering wheel to finish things off. I managed to get new guages , brake discs etc. Now apart from a paint job and re-chroming of badges I am complete.

Does yours have a verticle exhaust. Mine has a muffler at the rear but there is a hole in the hood for what looks to be a vertical exhaust but if one is fitted then how the hell do you tilt the hood to check everything?

Thanks again
