I just bought a 1949 IH model C an cannot find an engine oil dipstick or oil level overflow plug. How do you tell how much oil is in it?

There are 2 testcocks on the left side of the oil pan make sure oil level is maintained between the two, not below the bottom one nor above the upper one.

That would be the right side from the operator's platform.

right below the carb on the oilpan, that's left side from the platform as you are sitting in the seat.

look on the side of the oil pan for pet-cock for the oil level
