I have a IH 706 diesel that has had the exhaust reworked so a pipe runs down from manifold a couple of feet then back a couple of feet before going into muffler then back under rear axle.
I think they used to do old fords this way .
Is this to much pipe (back pressure) or wont it matter?
thanks

If the pipe and muffler are of reasonable size (about 2") and the bends are sweeps not kinks, and if the muffler is not restrictive it will be good to go.
