Can you change the input shaft in a 656 with hydrostatic drive without pulling the transmission?

Frank: Their is a way to prolong the inevitable. I'm sure the input shaft has about had it correct? If you would e-mail me I can give you some help which I have done for some others. If not you will have to remove the complete charge pump and all components in the center section to replace the input shaft. Not a cheap job I can assure you, as all of the transmission components have to be removed, and the gasket and overhaul kit plus labor will astound you. Those transmissions if used correctly, will out last some of the regular transmissions by quite a long time. Did it have the old style wavy flex plate, or the spring loaded disk? Let me know.
